MYSA is the only affiliated state level association of the National Yogasana Sports Federation(NYSF), New Delhi. NYSF is a federation recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affaires and Sports (Govt of India). Mr. Udit Sheth is the current President of the federation and the Secretary General is Dr. Jaideep Arya. 

NYSF is closely associated with ‘World Yogasana’ which is a global body recognised by the Ayush Ministry (Govt of India) and works under guidance of His Holiness Yogarshi Swami Ramdevji Maharaj (President of W.A.) and Respected Guruji Dr. H. R. Nagendraji (Secretary General of W.A.).

Maharashtra Yogasana Sport Association (MYSA) was formed in the year 2020 and involves individuals from different organisations related to Yogasana Sports. The sole purpose of this association is to promote Yogasana as a sport in the state of Maharashtra. MYSA is now recognised by the Directorate of Sports and the Youth Services Government of Maharashtra.

The MYSA is being headed and guided under the able leadership of Dr. Sanjay Malpani as the founder president and Mr. Rajesh Pawar as the founder secretary. The MYSA has been closely associated and is working with the various district bodies in all the districts of Maharashtra to train and select the Yogasana team for Maharashtra. This team would represent the state at the National Games.In year 2020 and 2021 the Maharashtra Yogasana Team won the General Championship in National Championships organised by NYSF.

Under the guidance of the MYSA, Maharashtra state won the General Championship in the Khelo India University Games organised at Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Khelo India Youth Games organised at Panchkula (Haryana).
